About This Tour
A 3-hour wine & mythology sunset tour. Begin with a coastal walk where myths of Ancient Greece come to life (Odysseus, the Sirens, Circe and the twelve Olympians). Continue uphill to the medieval castle district, walking through narrow alleys and fortified walls. Stop at a quaint bistrot for a wine and cheese tasting - two glasses of local Naxian wine paired with regional cheeses, in tribute to Dionysus (the god of wine, born on Naxos). End at the Portara (ancient marble gate of the Temple of Apollo) at sunset.
