We Plan, You Play

Greece Trips for Travellers Over 50

You tell us roughly when and roughly what. We plan it, book it, and stay on the end of a phone for the whole trip.

A lot of the people we plan for are somewhere between fifty and seventy-five, and most have travelled a fair bit already. Some have families. Plenty never married. A good number put a career first and have no regrets about it.

What they tend to have in common is this: they want to go to Greece, and the people they'd normally go with can't. Everyone's still working, or partnered up with someone who'd rather go elsewhere, or unable to commit to dates eight months out.

So they stop waiting. They tell us roughly what they're after, and we handle it.

Who You'd Actually Be Dealing With

Monobrow Holidays Greece is a licensed Greek travel agency based in Athens. Two people run it, and both of them will be in your WhatsApp group.

Thanasis, Co-Founder of Monobrow Holidays Greece

Thanasis

Co-Founder · Athens, Greece

With over 30 years in the Greek travel industry, Thanasis has built one of the most extensive supplier networks in the country. He knows the hoteliers, tour operators, boat captains, and chefs - by name. When Thanasis puts together your itinerary, you get insider access that money alone can't buy.

Theo, Co-Founder of Monobrow Holidays Greece

Theo

Co-Founder · Australia-based

Theo brings decades of exceptional customer service experience to Monobrow. The first point of contact for many clients, Theo listens carefully to your dream, translates it into a detailed brief, and makes sure every expectation is exceeded. Always available, always responsive, always warm.

There's the full story behind Monobrow if you want it.

Most People At This Stage Hand Us The Whole Thing, And That's Completely Normal

Most of our over-50 travellers don't plan their own itinerary. They tell us when they want to come, roughly what kind of trip they're imagining, and what they don't want to do. We build the itinerary, book everything, and stay reachable on WhatsApp for the whole trip.

If you'd rather be involved in every decision, that's fine too. Some people want to weigh up every hotel and we'll happily go back and forth. But if what you actually want is to say “two weeks in September, somewhere with good food and not too many stairs, surprise us”, that is a completely legitimate brief and we get it a lot.

What People Your Age Actually Ask Us For

  • A slower pace. Two islands rather than five. Time to sit somewhere for a whole afternoon.
  • Somewhere comfortable to come back to. Better hotels, fewer of them, well located.
  • No 6am ferry if it can be avoided. It usually can.
  • Real food, not tourist menus. Thanasis knows the owners. This is the easy part.
  • Someone to call when something goes sideways. Which in Greece, occasionally, it does.

Travelling On Your Own?

Plenty of our travellers are. Some always have been. Some have simply run out of patience waiting for friends to line up a fortnight that works for everyone.

Greece is a genuinely easy country to travel alone. Ferries run frequently, English is widely spoken, and it's a safe place to be by yourself. What you don't get travelling independently is anyone to sort it out when the ferry's cancelled for wind at seven in the morning. That's the bit we do.

And unlike a group tour, you're not committed to a coach full of strangers for ten days. If you want company we can build it in, a cooking class, a day on a boat, a guided walk with someone who knows the site properly. If you'd rather speak to nobody but the waiter for a week, we'll plan that beautifully too.

About The Pace Question

People ask us, politely and slightly nervously, whether Greece is “manageable”.

The honest answer: it depends entirely on how it's planned. Some islands involve a lot of steps. Some hotels look central until you discover they're up a hill. Some ferry connections are tight enough to be stressful with luggage.

We know which is which, and we plan around it without making a fuss about it. You don't need to research this. You just need to tell us what you'd rather avoid.

How We Support You While You're In Greece

You'll be in a private WhatsApp group with Theo and Thanasis for the whole trip. Not a chatbot, not a ticketing system. The two of us, in Greece, on Greek time.

Ferry cancelled. Restaurant fully booked. Hotel room facing the wrong way. Want to change tomorrow entirely. Message us.

The same team does this at every scale. Start with our bespoke Greece travel planning if the trip is still an idea, or Greek island hopping, planned for you if you already know you want to move around.

Got questions?

Questions We Get Asked

No. Most of our travellers over 50 give us a rough brief, dates, pace, and anything they'd rather avoid, and we build the whole itinerary from there. You're welcome to be as involved as you like, but you don't need to do the research.

Yes, with the right planning. Some islands and hotels involve significantly more climbing than others. We plan around what you tell us you'd rather avoid, so you don't need to research terrain yourself.

Not at all. A good portion of our travellers are solo. Greece is safe and easy to travel alone. The difference we make is being reachable when something goes wrong, and building in company where you want it.

No. Every trip we plan is private and built for you alone. There's no fixed departure date, no coach, and no group to keep pace with.

You message us. You'll be in a private WhatsApp group with Theo and Thanasis for the whole trip, and we're in Athens on Greek time.

For travel in May, June, September or October, three to six months is comfortable. Peak summer books out earlier. If your dates are sooner than that, message us anyway. We can usually still make something work.

Yes. Monobrow Holidays Greece IKE is licensed by the Greek Tourism Authority under EOT 0206Ε60000378300, registered in Greece under company number 182462003000, with an office at Mysonos 33-35, Athens.

Fair question. We're a licensed Greek agency based in Athens, Thanasis has spent over thirty years in the Greek travel industry, and our reviews are public on Trustpilot rather than hosted by us. Start with a conversation and judge for yourself. There's no charge and no obligation.

No. The planning conversation and the itinerary are free, and there's no obligation to book at the end of it.

An escorted tour gives you a fixed itinerary, a fixed departure date and a group. We build a private trip around your dates, your pace and your interests, with no group to keep up with. Per person it usually costs more, and you get considerably more say in what happens.

Start With A Conversation

Tell us roughly when and roughly what. We'll come back with ideas, and we'll tell you honestly if we're not the right fit. There's no charge for the conversation and no obligation at the end of it.
