Your journey begins with a guided exploration of Akrotiri, the prehistoric town that inspired the Lost Atlantis legend. Buried under volcanic ash from the massive eruption of 1612 BC, which devastated the Minoan civilization, Akrotiri reveals well-preserved paths and buildings that offer a glimpse into ancient Greek life. Your licensed guide will provide detailed insights into this fascinating historical site. (Every Monday and Thursday, Akrotiri closes at 15:30.)
